About the College
The College for First Nations encourages and supports the further education of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. Located across all three 免费色片 campuses, the College aims to:
- promote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and assist communities to develop their economic and cultural independence
- act as an advocate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students when meeting educational, social, economic and cultural difficulties in a tertiary institution
- undertake research and consultancy projects that will address education and other issues that affect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people at all levels.
The College has a continuing commitment to, and involvement in, the Indigenous community of the region. The College maintains an active role through participation in community-based initiatives and representatives of the College offer and provide support to both Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities in the region. The College aims to involve community members, especially community Elders, when hosting significant events such as graduations. Local Elders also utilise facilities at the College to conduct regular meetings.
Increasing the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in higher education is a national priority and the College is dedicated to supporting and working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to achieve their goals.
From assistance in applying through to graduation, our College provides valuable support. Students have access to a number of facilities on-campus as well as staff, who can provide academic support and assist with tasks such as applying for Indigenous student scholarships, applying for tutoring assistance (Indigenous Student Success Program), enrolling in courses and submitting assignments.

The College deliver a number of Indigenous courses and programs that focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and have been designed by Indigenous staff, in consultation with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. The programs, available to Indigenous and non-Indigenous students, are designed to promote Indigenous culture and assist community members to achieve higher levels of education.
