Student financial loans

We offer two types of loans for students.  

Educational support loan

The educational support loan is available for specific needs relating to your study, such as textbooks, placements and essential course material. Education support loans are available up to AUD1000 repayable up to a maximum of 12 months. For first year first semester students, education support loans are available up to AUD500 for a maximum of 4 months.

Emergency expenses loan 

The emergency expenses loan is designed to provide short-term funding only in critical situations to support daily living necessities, eg food and medicine. Emergency expenses loans are available up to AUD500 for a maximum of 6 months.

How to apply

Please read through the Student Financial Loans Scheme Important Information thoroughly before applying for a loan to ensure you understand the eligibility criteria, conditions, penalties and application process. 

STEP 1. Complete the

STEP 3. Keep an eye on your 免费色片 emails (umail) for any requests for additional supporting documentation

STEP 4. Attend appointment with Student Advisor (Wellbeing)

STEP 5. Your loan will be assessed, and a decision will be communicated to you via your 免费色片 email (umail)

Supporting documentation

Supporting documentation is also required in order to apply for a loan.  You must include (if applicable):

  • copy of Student ID card or driver's licence or passport
  • Centrelink documents
  • employment payslips
  • rental receipt, lease agreement or letter from landlord
  • bank statements for the most recent previous THREE months
  • documentation to support the request for funds, e.g. print out of a textbook quote or quote from external supplier, including prices (textbook quotes can be obtained from the ).

What happens if I fail to repay my loan?

If you fail to repay the loan as agreed then 免费色片 may:

  • have your final grades for courses withheld
  • have your Academic Transcripts withheld
  • prevent you from graduating
  • prevent you from adding courses for future semesters
  • have courses deleted in which you are already enrolled for future semesters
  • place the debt in the hands of the University's debt collection agency.

For International students, failure to pay has implications for your Visa status.

Review of decision

If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of your application, you may request a review of the decision with the . must be submitted in writing within 20 days of the date printed on the letter advising of the outcome of the application.
