Exam preparation

The best way to do well on an exam is to consider the entire length of your course as a pre-exam preparation period. As courses can last a few months, you may find it difficult to make the connection between your daily homework and your exam. 

To get high marks, start by recognizing that all academic work done through the semester, summer, or school year is exam studying.

Strategies

To make sure you’re ready for your exam, use the following strategies:

  1. manage your time effectively and develop a study plan
  2. keep up with reading throughout the semester
  3. develop effective note-taking techniques
  4. attend classes regularly
  5. actively participate in group discussions and/or study groups
